Seasoned Pecans/Glazed Walnuts
3/4 CupButter 1 CupBrown Sugar
1 CupPecan halves 1 Tsp.Cinnamon
2 Tbsp.Soy sauce 1 lb.Walnut Halves (4 c.)
3 DashesPepper seasoning To tasteSalt & Pepper
Melt butter in shallow pan. Add pecans, spread evenly. Bake at 325*F until nuts brown (about 20 min). Stir several times while baking. Combine soy sauce, salt & pepper seasoning. Add to nuts, distribute evenly. Cool on paper towels. Store in airtight containers.
Preheat oven to 325*. In casserole dish combine 1/2 c. melted butter, brown sugar & cinnamon. Microwave on high 2-3 min (stir once). Add walnuts; mix well. Spread nuts on baking sheet and bake15 min. Cool on wax paper. Store in airtight containers.
Toasting: Combine 3-4 Tbsp. of butter per 1 lb. of nuts at 350* for 15 min. Drain on paper towel and salt well. Blanching: Before servng pour boiled water over shelled nuts - drain and rinse with cold water, re-drain. After blanching, rub off any skins.
