Cheddar Bacon Biscuits
3 CupsFlour 1 CupCheddar cheese, grat
4 Tsp.Baking Powder 1/3 CupFresh Chives, choppe
3/4 Tsp.Salt 6 SlicesBacon, crumbled
1 StickButter 1½ CupMilk
Position rack in lower third of oven & preheat to 400*F. Grease muffin or biscuit pan (or use cooking spray). In a lg bowl sift together flour, baking powder & salt. Cut in butter until it resembles course meal.
Add cheese chives & bacon - stir evenly with fork. Add milk & combine with rubber spatula.Divide batter among pans & bake until golden (about 30 min). A fork inserted should come out clean.
Cool on wire rack before serving.
